A .455 SIX-SHOT SERVICE-REVOLVER, MODEL 'TROCAOLA', serial no. 'WR1905',
circa 1917 and possibly purchased by the British Government for use during World War One, with 5 1/4in. barrel, raised sighting rib of Smith & Wesson style signed 'FA DE TROCAOLA ARANZABAL Y CIA EIBAR (ESPANA)', crescent fore-sight, lift-up barrel release catch to rear of top-strap, hinged break-open frame with auto-ejecting fluted cylinder, colour hardened hammer and trigger, chequered walnut birdshead grips, strong traces of original blued finish and stamped with a South African registration number on frame
